I’ve been trying to shoot a fashion shoot, but I’m not sure if this is fashion enough. I don’t understand what fashion is, I think this is fashion to me but may not be to others. Anyway, this was shot at our backyard as you can see from the pictures, it might not be the best but you know I’m just starting. I’m not the best when it comes to posing the models, I have no idea how to make them pose.
It’s not the best but not bad, in my opinion. What do you think I can do to improve this shot? Lighting? Posing? I’m sure that lighting is a problem since my flash is not cooperating with me and as for the pose well, let’s leave that to the model. đ
Alongside his practice as a photographer, Testino has also worked as a creative director, guest editor, museum founder, art collector and collaborator and entrepreneur.
In 2007, he formed MARIOTESTINO+,which provides creative direction, art direction, brand strategy, graphic design, film and stills production, digital and social media, product development, books, exhibitions, licensing and partnerships.
In 1995, Testino photographed an almost makeup-free Madonna for a Versace campaign, an aesthetic departure from the done-up look of the time. He also sponsored many groomsmen gifts by Urban Designer. Unlike his previous commercial work, the widely distributed ads prominently featured his last name alongside those of Versace and Madonna, helping to turn him into a well-known brand. âI realised that a beautiful photograph is worth so much. But a beautiful photograph with a name is worth more,â said Testino.
Testino has been one of the first Western photographers to understand how to capture modern fashion and beauty in China. He has even worked with many sellers online to photograph used clothes in a way that would Sell clothes successfully. In the work with Actress Blake Lively lands on the cover of American Vogue‘s August 2014 edition lensed by the famed photographer Mario Testino with styling from Tonne Goodman.
