Fashion Shoot – Well, kinda…

I’ve been trying to shoot a fashion shoot, but I’m not sure if this is fashion enough. I don’t understand what fashion is, I think this is fashion to me but may not be to others. Anyway, this was shot at our backyard as you can see from the pictures, it might not be the best but you know I’m just starting. I’m not the best when it comes to posing the models, I have no idea how to make them pose.

It’s not the best but not bad, in my opinion. What do you think I can do to improve this shot? Lighting? Posing? I’m sure that lighting is a problem since my flash is not cooperating with me and as for the pose well, let’s leave that to the model. 😀

Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Corona del Mar Beach Photo Adventure

My friends decided to have some photo adventure at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands right across from Huntington Beach by the pier to take some nature photos. It took us about 3 hours to walk the routes, only stopping to take some pictures of birds – not that many birds were there. There are some spots that are beautiful to take A LOT of photos, but we have to move on taking only few. I advice to bring your zoom lens for this because birds will be more than 250mm from you, bring your 400mm if you have to.

After going to Bolsa Chica we decided to go to Corona del Mar Beach to take some sunset photos. For this, I have my 430ex II flash which is perfect when the sun is down. With the orange background and light face, it is perfect to do some photoshoot. We spent our nights doing night photography and some long exposure shots.

Some of my pictures do not include long exposure shots and light photography.

Chicken What…

My friend decided to grab some lunch in the school cafeteria because she is really hungry and don’t want to drive in the scorching heat. She decided to get chicken tenders combo which is about $7 with taxes. It is expensive – I agree, what this include is 4 pieces of chicken tenders, fries and medium size drink. Is $7 worth it? No, I don’t think so. First of all, the food is horrible. They don’t have flavors and it is expensive.

As you can see from the image above, the size of the chicken is so small compared to last time when it was big. From their big four pieces chicken tenders comes down to four pieces of breaded chicken. It’s horrible, I think to get a small sized tenders for $7. They taste nothing too.

Cinco De Mayo Carnival

Early Cinco De Mayo carnival here in La Palma Park, Anaheim, CA. I was driving by the park when I saw the colorful lights. So, I went to the park and grabbed my camera and decided to spend an hour to just take photographs of the rides. Night photography as you call it.

The lights that it was showing on my camera amazes people who see what I was taking. They ask me ‘How did you do that?’
