How To Make Hummus

If you haven’t tried making your own hummus at home, you’re missing out. It’s not only budget-friendly but it is delicious as well.


  1. 15oz chickpeas (1 can)
  2. 1 clove garlic
  3. 2 tablespoon olive oil
  4. 1/4 cup tahini
  5. 1/4 cup lemon juice
  6. Salt
  7. Cumin
  8. Jalapeno

How to:

  • In a food professor or blender, combine drained chickpeas.
  • Add garlic, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, salt and cumin. Pulse or blend until smooth.
  • Taste. If it’s too dry, add water. Add garlic, salt, tahini, if needed.
  • If you want a little bit of heat, add jalapenos.
  • Serve with pita bread.
