If you haven’t tried making your own hummus at home, you’re missing out. It’s not only budget-friendly but it is delicious as well.
Ingredients:
- 15oz chickpeas (1 can)
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Salt
- Cumin
- Jalapeno
How to:
- In a food professor or blender, combine drained chickpeas.
- Add garlic, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, salt and cumin. Pulse or blend until smooth.
- Taste. If it’s too dry, add water. Add garlic, salt, tahini, if needed.
- If you want a little bit of heat, add jalapenos.
- Serve with pita bread.
