Harvesting Cherry Tomato

This the beginning of my backyard garden, how it all started. Now, time to harvest my cherry tomatoes.

Due to cats roaming around in the backyard, I decided to pick unripen tomatoes before those cats eat them first.

At the time of this writing, I still have more tomatoes ripening and more popping. I continue to fertilize and prune the plants.

I’m satisfied with the outcome of my hard work. I definitely earned this.

Now, how can you tell if your tomatoes are ready for picking? Is it red? If it is, try twisting the tomato. If the tomato didn’t separate from the vine then it isn’t ready, yet. Give it couple more days. If you twist and it comes off of the vine, then it’s ready. Wash and eat!
